Macintosh II Peripherals

First 35mm Camera

The Macintosh II was announced in early 1987. The Mac II offered more RAM (up to 8Mb), color support, and an expandable chassis in which up to six specialized cards could be installed. The cards could be video cards, communication cards, co-processors, printer interfaces, all kinds of possibliities were opened up. I put together a quick proposal to make others in the division aware of what this capabiility might mean for digital imaging.

It was pretty much ignored. However, over the next few years, as the painful realization set in that Still Video was not going anywhere, they felt they might need to make a slight course change. Then, my proposal finally gained some traction, but by then I feared, it was too late.
